ISIS has issued another terror threat in Egypt after owning up to the bombing of St. Mark’s Coptic Orthodox Cathedral in Cairo on Sunday that killed 25 people.
The notorious Islamic State, also called as ISIS or ISIL, vowed to further its “war on polytheism” in Egypt’s major cities.
In a statement, the terrorist group said they sent the suicide bomber Abu Abdallah al-Masri to carry on the attack against the Coptic chapel.
Authorities, however, identified the attacker as Mahmoud Shafik Mohamed Mostafa.
Sunday’s bombing was known as Egypt’s deadliest terror attack against its civilians in years, New York Times reported.
ISIS added that they are ready to carry more attacks against Christians in Egypt.0
