CDC Urges Americans to Update COVID-19 Vaccine Before Thanksgiving
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is urging Americans to get an “updated” COVID-19 vaccine before Thanksgiving, despite the fact that the vaccine does not prevent infection or stop virus transmission.
In a Monday post, the federal health agency urged the “updated” shot for those aged five and up:

The CDC's appeal comes as mainstream media outlets and medical professionals continue to urge Americans to get vaccinated against the Chinese coronavirus. According to NBC News, parents can protect their children from seasonal illness by avoiding “physical interaction with unvaccinated individuals.”
The tip, however, falls flat because coronavirus vaccines do not prevent infection, despite initial misinformation spread by the likes of President Biden himself. PolitiFact even gave Biden a “Mostly False” rating after he claimed in an interview that vaccinated people do not spread the disease, calling it a “pandemic of the unvaccinated.”
During a town hall, Biden also falsely stated, “you're not going to get COVID if you have these vaccinations,” despite the fact that the quadruple-vaccinated president contracted the virus:
Despite public pressure over the past two years, according to a September poll conducted by The Economist/YouGov, three out of ten Americans have not received any vaccine for COVID-19.
