The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed on Monday that they believe the found body earlier in the morning is that of Naya Rivera.

Rivera disappeared at California‘s Lake Piru last week. According to Ventura County Sheriff Bill Ayub, the medical examiner would make the official identification. An autopsy will also be performed.

Ayub said there was “no indication of foul play and no indication this was a suicide.”

The body was found at the northeast corner of the lake near the surface of the water five days after she disappeared. Josey, her 4-year-old son whom she was with before her disappearance, was found on July 8th asleep on the boat that they rented.

According to Fox News, the boat’s vendor found the vessel drifting in the northern end of the lake with Josey asleep on board. The boy was wearing a life vest. However, another life vest was found on the boat. Authorities confirmed that Josey is “in good health.”

Ayub said the water “is between 35 and 60 feet deep” where the body was found. He added that “there's heavy brush and trees on the lake bed there.”

Rivera was known to star in all six seasons of the hit show “Glee.”

A statement by 20th Century Fox TV and Fox Entertainment said, “Naya Rivera was a fierce talent with so much more to do and this is such a terrible tragedy. We are forever grateful for the indelible contribution she made to ‘Glee,’ from the first episode to the last.”
