Bette Midler Mocks Americans Complaining Over High Fuel Prices

former mayor Mike Bloomberg & Bette Midler celebrated the planting of one million new trees in NYC | Bette Midler Mocks Americans Complaining Over High Fuel Prices

The senior actress posted a picture of a man riding the back of a large pickup with an American flag and a Trump flag in the bed.

She wrote the message: “You bought the gas guzzling truck. Go ahead and whine about gas prices. I swear I am listening”. Midler added an emoji of a face crying while laughing hard.

Midler’s post suggested a tone-deaf attitude towards the needs of many Americans, who felt offended by the tweet. They buy trucks based on need, not political beliefs.

Many people buy trucks and SUVs because of the spacious interiors. Also, many prefer trucks as they can use them for their business, which may require regularly hauling equipment.

Still, other households prefer trucks and SUVs to fit more family members compared to a conventional sedan.

In addition, getting an electric vehicle equivalent isn’t that easy. For one, EVs have expensive price tags. In addition, there are few charging stations in many rural areas.

Bette Midler Isn’t The Only One

Of course, Bette Midler isn’t the only entertainer brandishing a middle finger too hard working Americans struggling with high gas prices.

Other equally woke actors and personalities are also posting their own tone-deaf mockery. As gas prices continue to rise, many Americans are curbing many activities such as planned outings in order to maintain their budgets.

Another tone-deaf actor is late-night host Stephen Colbert. The actor showed his elitist nature by saying he would pay $15 for a gallon of gas. That’s because he drives a Tesla.

From his ivory tower, Colbert said that “Today, the average gas price in America hit an all-time record high of over $4/gallon.

OK, that stings, but a clean conscience is worth a buck or two. It’s important. I’m willing to pay $4/gallon. Hell, I’ll pay $15 a gallon b/c I drive a Tesla.”

It’s Easy for George Takei to Say We Can Endure High Gas Prices

Closing in at the heels of Bette Midler is Star Trek actor George Takei. In trying to sound patriotic, he, unfortunately, came out insensitive to the economic realities of common American folk.

Takei said that Americans could endure rising fuel and food prices. This is in order to put the screws on Russian President Vladimir Putin. “Americans: We can endure higher prices for food and gas if it means putting the screws to Putin. Consider it a patriotic donation in the fight for freedom over tyranny,” he tweeted Friday.

Many users didn’t take the message kindly. Users unloaded on Takei for thinking that most Americans enjoy the same wealth and privilege the actor has.

Podcaster Britt Griffith replied to Takei by posting a photo of a gas station with a $6 per gallon tag. “Hey rich guy, you can endure this, but us working class people, this is crushing us.

But what do you [care] looking down your nose at the people who make your world run,” he angrily replied.
