Sickening: Biden uses Russian Invasion into Ukraine to Push that he can Unite America
The current administration’s response to the unprovoked Russian invasion of Ukraine is one that President Joe Biden believes is a unifying force within the United States, even though inflation continues to go up and Americans remain divided along party lines.
On Wednesday, during a speech he delivered in Superior, Wisconsin, Biden said that America is “united” even while President Putin of Russia counted on managing to “split up the United States.” According to Biden, he feels “ more optimistic about America” today compared to any time before.
The president also reflected on the events of the Capitol Riot on Jan. 6, 2021, saying, “we are not that country” anymore.
“Look, how'd you feel if you saw crowds storm and break down the doors of the British Parliament, kill five cops, injure 145… or the German Bundestag, or the Italian parliament,” the U.S. president stated. “I think you'd wonder. Well, that's what the rest of the world saw. It's not who we are. And now we're proving under pressure that we are not that country. We're united.”
While the country is in the middle of facing several ongoing crises both within the U.S. and abroad, Biden claimed that America “will demonstrate to the whole world no one can split this country” even as Russia’s invasion continues.
The president’s comments about unity and the American spirit follow his tumultuous first year in the White House ’ as he continues trying to handle the COVID-19 Pandemic.
