Biden Warns of Economic Setbacks in the Horizon

President Joe Biden said on Friday that Americans should expect setbacks while he attempts to fix the country’s economy.

“It’s going to take time to get inflation back to normal levels as we keep our job market strong, so we could see setbacks along the way,” the president said at the White House. He also promised to be “laser-focused” on the economy.

He also alleged that grocery store inflation went “down slightly,” even as food costs at home is up by 12.4% compared to last year.

The president spoke with a group of business and labor leaders on his fake White House video set about the economy for about seven minutes before escorting the press out of the room.

He claimed that economic growth was up 2.6 percent and unemployment was still low, demonstrating that his policies were successful in turning the economy around.

Biden urged Americans to be patient until his policies, which will provide seniors with cheaper diabetes medication, go into effect. He also promoted tax breaks for homeowners who replace their windows and doors, replace their heating systems, and install solar panels on their roofs.

“That’s good for your wallet but also good for the environment, because you’re using less energy,” he said, adding that the tax credits were “just going to start kicking in.”
