Fraudulent BLM $6 Million Dollar Scam Calls for DOJ Investigation

California Rep. Darrell Issa said Black Lives Matter’s (BLM) alleged $6 million California mansion purchase using charitable donations should start a probe into the said nonprofit by the Department of Justice.

Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation, which is the national arm of the said movement, has been scrutinized by many in connection to how it handles the tens of millions of dollars worth of donations that it has received.

This week, New York Magazine revealed that BLM bought a mansion worth $6 million secretly, which its leaders reportedly will call “Campus.” When the said publication asked the organization about the mansion, BLM allegedly put out a memo that discusses the likelihood of attempts to “kill” the said story.

With this, Rep. Issa told Fox News that its time for the U.S. DOJ to start a probe into the nonprofit.

“The disturbing information that we are learning is more than enough to warrant an investigation from the DOJ — and doubtless not the end of all there is to know,” Issa said.

“This definitely has the suggestion of misappropriation of charitable funds and an abuse of our nonprofit laws.”

BLM Purchases Several Properties worth Millions of Dollars

The organization’s purchase of the California mansion is different from a transaction done in 2021 in which the group transferred money to a nonprofit in Canada, which is also run by the wife of Patrisse Cullors, a BLM co-founder. The said money was used to buy a house worth $3 million.

Cullors slammed NYMag for its story in a statement published on her Instagram on Tuesday.

“Yesterday's article in New York Magazine is a despicable abuse of a platform that's intended to provide truthful information to the public,” she stated, adding, “Journalism is supposed to mitigate harm and inform our communities.”

“That a reputable publication would allow a reporter, with a proven and very public bias against me and other Black leaders, to write a piece filled with misinformation, innuendo and incendiary opinions, is disheartening and unacceptable,” she went on to say.

Back in May 2021, Cullors stepped down from her position in BLM amid the scrutiny of many in connection to the organization’s finances. She has also been slammed by people for living a luxurious lifestyle, which includes purchasing personal real estate worth millions of dollars.
