A Business Page About This Woman’s Butthole Caught Her Attention on Facebook
It turns out that “Samantha Rae Anne Jespersen’s Butthole,” a Facebook business page, was the very first result when one Googled Samantha Jespersen’s name. The page was made in 2012 when Jespersen was only 15 years old, but she only discovered the page in 2015. Her reaction was “What the fuck? How did this happen?”
She had no idea how the page was created, and she doesn’t know anyone who would have made it. The page’s details said: “This unofficial Page was created because people on Facebook have shown interest in this place or business. It's not affiliated with or endorsed by anyone associated with Samantha Rae Anna Jespersen's Butthole.”

Despite the duration of its existence, the page has no reviews and no stories posted. According to Buzzfeed News, Jespersen posted to Reddit’s r/legaladvice this week for help getting it removed. “Some users suggested that perhaps some friends had created an ‘interest’ in her butthole on their own Facebook profiles as a joke, and this triggered a Page to be created automatically,” said the BuzzFeed article. The page even has a pin on the map that shows the precise location of her former home.
According to The Next Web, “it’s unclear exactly what the criteria is for these Pages, but it’s likely the Page was created when someone abused the ‘check-in’ feature of the platform.”
BuzzFeed reported that Facebook removed the page after their article was published, but it is still problematic how Jespersen was unable to get it taken it down despite several reports. Facebook said it isn’t in violation of its community standards. The BuzzFeed article added that there’s an option to claim it as your own, which would allow her to take it down. “She tried that as well — Facebook asked for her phone number to send a code, but she was unable to get it to work.”
When the page was still up, Jespersen was worried about repercussions: “I feel like if anybody has found it, it would probably feel way too weird to talk to me about it,” she said. “And if I didn’t get a job over it, they definitely wouldn't call me and say, ‘Hey, found the Page about your butthole, not going to hire you, bye.’”
