Older Man in Chicago in Serious Condition after being Stabbed in Daylight
A Chicago man ended up in serious condition after he was stabbed in broad daylight. The incident happened in an upscale area of Illinois city, according to authorities.
The victim was targeted in the River North neighborhood on Wednesday afternoon. This area is known to have many high-end shops and restaurants.
According to the Chicago police, in a statement to Fox News Digital: “A 56-year-old male was involved in an altercation with an unknown Black male offender who produced a knife and stabbed the victim in the chest.”
It wasn’t immediately known why the victim was attacked.
According to authorities, the victim was taken to a local hospital “in serious condition with a puncture wound to the upper chest.” Meanwhile, the attacker “fled in an unknown direction.”
As of Thursday, the authorities have yet to take someone into custody. Until now, the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
