Christians in California Hold Worship Services, Defy COVID-19 Lockdown Guidelines
In California, thousands of Christians continue to hold worship services that defy Gov. Gavin Newsom's coronavirus lockdown guidelines.

More than 5,000 people showed up on Sunday on the beach in San Diego for a “Let Us Worship” event. Worship leader Sean Feucht organized this event, along with his nonprofit, Hold the Line, as reported by Fox News.
Hold the Line is “an organization whose hope is to bring awareness that will lead to historic engagement in the governmental realm of cultural influence,” according to their website. They also aim “to start engaging in conversations that will create a space where voices get unlocked and activated to bring reformation and CHANGE.”
“It's just the most raw, organic, gritty gospel,” Feucht said. “It's been very eclectic, very diverse in terms of people praying and singing. People got healed, saved, and delivered,” he then added.
Fox News also reported that Feucht has been traveling to cities across California. He leads “Let Us Worship” protests after Newsom “announced he was banning singing in churches at the beginning of July and has put further restrictions on indoor venues as the state has moved to No. 1 in terms of coronavirus cases.”
On Saturday, hundreds of people showed up to the Fresno City Hall – worshipping and praying.
“I believe in Jesus Christ and the freedom to worship and that's why we're here,” said Vanessa Kelly, a Reedley resident, to Fresno Bee. “We love Jesus and we want to worship and nothing's going to stop us from doing that,” she also mentioned.
According to Fox News, Feucht and Hold the Line are going to Portland on August 8th. They aim to “change the narrative after weeks of protests and riots.”
