Part 1 – [Warning] Some Harsh Language

Part 2

Everyone knows there is no love lost between firefighters and police, especially in New York City.
Their disdain for each other was on wide display at their annual charity game.
It all started when towards the end of the game, an NYPD member allegedly made a brutal sac on the FDNY quarterback, who they say was already out of bounds. At the time, the NYPD had a safe lead of 29 – 13. Afterwards, a total brawl ensued.
Several referees try to get between the brawling groups and the announcer reminds everyone that this is a charity game with families watch. Finally, the two groups seem to separate.
But, as you can see in the second video something sparks a second round of fighting which leaves one firefighter down and a second walks by the camera bleeding from the ear and lips.
This kind of fighting is nothing new and begs the question why they still try to have these competitions and not instead just hold boxing matches. In 2014, a charity hockey games between the two groups had to be stopped during a tied game because of a brawl on center-ice.
I wonder if charges will be filed for assault. Probably not…
