Omicron Surge in US Leads to 1 Million New COVID Cases

Last January 3, health officials diagnosed more than a million Americans with COVID-19. The US now holds the global record for the most number of COVID cases reported in a single day.

The highly contagious Omicron variant swept its way across the US, leading to the highest number of new COVID cases.

As a result, Omicron helped the US set a dubious record. The previous record for the most COVID cases in a day was 590,000.

The US also held that record, setting it just four days ago. In addition, the previous record quickly doubled the daily case total from the prior week. This proves that the Omicron’s spread is occurring at a breakneck pace.

The USA's highest daily count is now more than twice the number of any other country since the pandemic started.

Among countries worldwide, India posted a far second. Last May 7, the country of 1.4 billion people reported a high of 414,000 cases diagnosed that day.

Number of COVID Cases in the US Might Even Be Higher

Despite the already dizzying numbers, some experts say that the official count might be lower than the actual. Many Americans are now taking DIY tests at home.

This means that some positive results do not end up on official government lists. Even worse, this also means that the actual daily COVID cases in the US might end up higher.

The effect of the spreading virus is already being felt nationwide. Many airlines have canceled flights, schools reclosed for the holidays earlier, and offices are now urging workers to return to their homes. In addition, many hospitals, after experiencing a brief lull, are now back to overwhelmed status.

New Measures Being Put In Place

Thankfully, the Omicron variant isn’t as lethal as its predecessor, Delta. Early studies reported that the omicron variant spreads faster than earlier strains. However, Omicron patients usually only exhibit mild effects.

Consequently, US health officials are now trying to gain some control over the spread. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are now implementing shorter quarantine periods for asymptomatic patients.

However, they will still need to pass a COVID test before going out again. Meanwhile, companies are now shuttering plans for a return to the office planned this year.

And they’ll continue to rise because of all of the vaxxed spreading it. Don’t worry this was the plan all the while. My wife and I had it at Christmas, second time for me. But they need the sheep to fulfill the Georgia Guidestones/WEF prophecy. Get rid of God, kill off the population, 1 party socialist rule. It’s so cute listening to the young 20 somethings say they want to live in a socialist country, even though they have no idea what it is!
