DeSantis Signs Bill Making Florida the 26th Constitutional Carry State

Florida became the 26th constitutional carry state in the Union on Monday, according to legislation signed by Gov. Ron DeSantis (R).

This indicates that the majority of states in the United States allow for constitutional carry.

According to the Tampa Bay Times, the new law will go into effect on July 1, 2023.

The measure allows Floridians aged 21 and older who are not otherwise barred from owning a firearm to carry a concealed pistol for self-defense without a permit.

Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, West Virginia, and Wyoming are the other 25 constitutional carry states.
