The alleged “whistleblower” who exposed complaints about Facebook, Frances Haugen, seems to have donated to a lot of left-wing political candidates and causes.

The National Pulse learned of the alleged whistleblower’s activist past and revealed in a Monday article that Haugen has donated 36 times towards Democratic candidates as well as left-leaning causes.

Some of those she supported included Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s campaign for Congress in January 2020. Additionally, she backed up an activist group called “It Starts Today,” which seeks to rid the Republican Party of conservatives in Congress.

Haugen was a former member of Big Tech giant Facebook’s team that censors inconvenient information connected to the election. According to Haugen, she has become frustrated when she saw Facebook’s lack of openness regarding what harm it could bring and lack of care when it comes to addressing the company’s flaws, per WSJ.

This “blower” said in a series of interviews that she went into her job at Facebook, hoping to help fix the weaknesses in the company. However, she eventually became skeptical about whether her group can make a significant impact. Her team didn’t have a lot of resources, and she said the company focused more on growth and user engagement instead of what harm the platform can bring.
