Majority of Voters Believe FBI Covered Up Alleged Biden Bribery Files, Survey Finds

A majority of people believe FBI personnel attempted to conceal a file supposedly detailing a $5 million bribery plan involving the exchange of money for policy choices between now-President Joe Biden and a foreign individual, according to a Rasmussen Reports survey released Wednesday.

According to House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY), the FBI's informant file purportedly tied Joseph Biden to the family's business dealings in Ukraine. The file was created as a result of an interview with an informant, who is said to be a “highly credible” source with a history extending back to the Barack Obama administration.

For over a month, the FBI failed to comply with Comer's demand. The bureau agreed to allow all members of the House Oversight Committee to study an unclassified file 11 hours before the Oversight Committee was scheduled to vote on placing FBI Director Wray in contempt of Congress.

The FBI's surrender came on the same day polls found that 60 percent of respondents believe senior bureau officials helped cover up any alleged misbehavior by Joe Biden or his family detailed in the paper, with 48 percent believing it is “very likely.”

“Thirty-three percent (33%) don’t believe an FBI cover-up is likely, including 16% who say it is Not At All Likely,” the poll found.

From June 4 to 6, 999 likely voters were surveyed, with a +/- 3% margin of error.
