House Republicans File Bill To Fire Dr. Fauci
Since the Trump administration, GOP members are unanimous in wanting to fire Dr. Fauci. On Wednesday, House Republicans introduced a bill that sets term limits on National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases appointees.
Consequently, this can put an end to the career of Dr. Anthony Fauci as the White House chief medical adviser.

FIRED Act
Representative Warren Davidson (OH) authored the “Fauci's Incompetence Requires Early Dismissal (FIRED) Act. Meanwhile, co-sponsors include fellow Republican Representatives Chip Roy (TX), Andy Biggs (AZ.), and Ralph Norman (SC). Specifically, the bill aims to impose a retroactive 12-year term limit on the NIAID director.
Fauci has been NIAID director since 1984, which makes him a 37-year career veteran. Once the bill passes into law, Fauci would be forced to leave his job.
Earlier, Davidson’s office issued a press statement regarding the FIRED Act. “In the wake of massive missteps by Dr. Fauci and his subordinates in the handling of the coronavirus pandemic, this bill addresses an oft-overlooked issue:
The lack of accountability for unelected bureaucrats,” the statement read. “Under Dr. Fauci's guidance, Americans have lost confidence in the National Institutes of Health and the Centers for Disease Control, leading to confusion and serious government overreach that has threatened Americans' livelihoods and freedoms,” the statement added.
Getting Rid of The Scientific-Technical Elite
Davidson also said that even with overwhelming evidence supporting a lower risk, Fauci continues to scare Americans into submitting to draconian measures. However, Fauci's rules not only infringe on individual freedoms. It also holds back the US economy from performing to its fullest.
“Dr. Fauci represents everything that President Eisenhower warned us about in his farewell address: The scientific-technical elite steering the country toward their own ends,” Davison said. As a result of his failures to respond to the pandemic, Davidson wants Fauci to step down and let somebody else take charge. As a result, maybe the new leadership can ‘follow the science' and start reopening America.'”
FIRED Act No Chance Of Passing
Despite its honorable intentions to fire Dr. Fauci, the bill is practically dead on the water. In particular, Democrats remain in control of Congress, so the bill has little chance to pass the House. In addition, President Joe Biden continues to express his support for Dr. Fauci. If nothing else, the bill will remind House Republicans that they need more seats to get rid of technocrats like Fauci.
Tuesday gave another great reason to fire Dr. Fauci. Republican Senator Rand Paul (KY) again clashed with Fauci over NIH funding for research made at the Wuhan Institute of Virology. Many people suspect that this Chinese laboratory played a big role in the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, Paul accused Fauci of supporting risky “gain of function research,” that involved manipulating viral diseases. However, Fauci denied that NIH funded the risky research.
