First Lady Melania Trump Gives Update About Her Condition; Says She Is “Feeling Good”

Following her positive COVID-19 result, first lady Melania Trump on Monday said she is “feeling good.”

“My family is grateful for all of the prayers & support! I am feeling good & will continue to rest at home. Thank you to medical staff & caretakers everywhere, & my continued prayers for those who are ill or have a family member impacted by the virus,” the first lady said on Twitter.

President Trump and the first lady received their COVID-19 diagnosis on Thursday evening.

“Melania Trump’s symptoms thus far are have [sic] been more mild than those of her husband, who was taken to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center on Friday evening,” reported The Hill.

The first lady has been isolating at the White House since her diagnosis. According to White House physician Sean Conley, her symptoms are a mild cough and headache.

The president’s medical team said he has experienced a cough, nasal congestion, and fatigue. Also, he hasn’t experienced a fever since Friday, as reported by The Hill.

Mark Meadows, the White House chief of staff, said the administration feels “optimistic” that President Trump can return to the White House on Monday.

“Spoke to the president this morning,” Meadows said. “He continued to improve overnight and is ready to get back to a normal working schedule.” He also said the president “will meet with his doctors and nurses this morning to make further assessments of his progress.”
