Despite House Democrats’ determination toward impeachment, Evangelical pastors and leaders met and prayed with President Trump. According to Pastor Jack Graham, the pastor of Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, Texas, “We assured him that evangelicals across America support him … We are unwavering in our support for the president.”

According to the advisers, the president did not appear to be consumed by the impeachment inquiry. They add that majority of their time was focused on accomplishments including the nomination of federal judges, criminal justice reform, and abortion reduction. “I have never seen a president more focused, more in command than what we saw with President Trump yesterday,” says Reed, chairman of the Faith and Freedom Coalition.

Televangelist Paula White-Cain adds that Trump “continues to work tirelessly on behalf of the American people.”
