On Wednesday, Instacart announced its new Senior Support Service hotline. It aims to help customers over the age of 60 order food online more safely and easily.

Fox Business explained that senior consumers can call Instacart’s Senior Support service number (1-844-981-3433). It is accessible every day between 8 a.m. and 11 p.m. “to get help onboarding their digital grocery store cart.”

“Instacart says the company has recruited more than 60,000 seniors to order grocery delivery in the past month, showing that demand continues to climb during the pandemic,” Fox Business reported.

Seniors can seek out help in setting up an Instacart account. They can also receive assistance in digitally browsing aisles, placing orders, and a lot more.

“Online grocery delivery is one of the safest ways for seniors to get their groceries, household essentials and medications, especially heading into the higher-risk cold and flu season. Many seniors are less accustomed to using an app for ingrained household tasks like grocery shopping, so Instacart’s Senior Support Service is designed to help them build confidence to use online grocery delivery more often and more independently,” said Mark Killick, vice president of Instacart’s care customer support team, to Fox Business.

A news release on the Instacart website reported that the team consists of more than 150 dedicated specialists. “Instacart’s Senior Support Service currently assists an average of 2,000 seniors a day with a menu of high-touch services,” the article reads.
