On Monday, more people are calling for the resignation of Democrat John Kerry following a shocking report that rolled out over the weekend. The report revealed that Mohammad Javad Zarif, the foreign minister of Iran, revealed that Kerry told him Israel has been behind the many attacks that targetted Iranian assets in Syria.

Currently, Kerry serves as the Special Presidential Envoy for Climate. However, on Monday, both Jen Psaki, the White House Press Secretary, and Ned Price, the State Department spokesman, refused to comment on the matter. The two both said they do not release comments about leaked materials.

Although, Kerry responded to it following Price and Psaki declining to comment. He claimed that the story and allegations “are unequivocally false.”

Chuck Ross, a reporter at Free Beacon, noted that he did not clarify which part of the story he says is false.

Following the report’s publication, more have started calling for him to resign from his post.

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) says that if the tape is true, it signals “catastrophic and disqualifying recklessness” by Kerry. He says the action endangered Americans’ safety as well as the safety of the country’s allies.

Former secretary of state Mike Pompeo also reacted to the report. He told Free Beacon that it proved what he’s been claiming for years. He had claimed that Zarif continued to engage with Kerry regarding policy matters even after the latter’s public service.

Pompeo also added that before the U.S. can make a deal with Iran that may decrease the security of Americans, they should find out if any arrangements have been made between the two leaders.
