Michael Milken, chairman of the Milken Foundation, appeared on “Sunday Morning Futures” and described the current race for a coronavirus vaccine as “the greatest movement ever in history by the biomedical industry and by government.”

“The medical community, FDA, CDC, HHS, BARDA, NIH,” strive to speed up the process, as per Milken. “They are making financial commitments so that if something works, it'll be available to us.”

He said that there more than 400 potential treatment options exist. Milken also mentioned that researchers continue to try and develop more than 150 vaccines. He expects “hundreds of millions” of vaccines to be available by the fourth quarter.

“We don't know if they work yet, but they will be available,” he said.

“Antivirals such as Gilead or these ADT drugs, androgen deprivation therapy, are going into human beings today,” Milken said. “These are safe. They've been approved. They've been around for years, and many of them appear to have a very positive effect on controlling the virus.”

He also said that the Trump Administration doesn't need to pressure the Food and Drug Administration “to greenlight a safe solution,” as reported by Fox Business.

The white house started to consider Milken as “one of America's greatest financiers” after receiving a pardon from President Trump in February.
