Mike Bloomberg Has Spent Roughly $500 Million on Ads
Former New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg has won the American Samoa caucuses. He was awarded five of the six delegates from American Samoa. According to Fox News, it amounted to his first victory from the Super Tuesday contests, after dropping $500 million on ads.
“Former Vice President Joe Biden and Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders were faring much better in the early voting, raising questions about the future of Bloomberg's campaign,” said the report.
NBC News reported that Bloomberg won 49.9 percent of the vote, or 175 votes. Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, D-Hawaii, who was born in American Samoa, received 29.3 percent, or 103 votes, and earned one delegate with 99 percent in. Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., won 10.5 percent, and former Vice President Joe Biden won 8.8 percent.
Since announcing his candidacy in late November, Mike Bloomberg has spent $500 million on ads around the country.

Around 1,500 people gathered in West Palm Beach, Florida and cheered when the race was called for Bloomberg on Tuesday. The candidate skipped the early nominating contests in Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada, and South Carolina and focused big on Super Tuesday states.
On Tuesday morning, Bloomberg said he did not have expectations on how he would perform – “despite record investments in ads and staff from his own bank account,” said Fox News.
Following Super Tuesday, Bloomberg has officially dropped out of the 2020 presidential race.
