Republicans got furious when House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler suddenly “wrapped up an all-day marathon hearing on the adoption of two articles of impeachment against President Trump by delaying planned votes on the matter until Friday morning,” said Fox News.

Shortly before midnight in DC, Nadler said it was very late and wanted “the members on both sides of the aisle to think about what has happened over these last two days, and to search their consciences before we cast their final votes.” She said the committee will stand in recess until Friday at 10am.

Ranking Rep. Doug Collins made an objection when Nadler began leaving, calling it “the most bush-league stunt” he had ever seen. “This is why people don't like us. This crap like this is why people are having such a terrible opinion of Congress. What Chairman Nadler just did, and his staff, and the rest of the majority who sat there quietly and said nothing, this is why they don't like us,” he said.

Texas GOP Rep. Louie Gohmert called the scheme as “Stalinesque.” Other Republicans claimed it to be “outrageous.” According to CNN, Republicans accused “the New York Democrat of wanting to put the vote on television and going back on an agreement for the committee to stop considering amendments.”
