President Trump confirmed that he and first lady Melania Trump both tested positive for the coronavirus. With this, critics took the time to make negative comments.

Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., tweeted that Trump “still won’t wear a mask.”

“He only cares about himself and his life, NOT those around him or the people he took an oath to protect. Too many lives lost because of his deadly lies,” she said.

Fox News explained that Tlaib’s remarks come days after Trump mocked Democratic nominee Joe Biden during the first presidential debate for constantly wearing a mask.

“Maybe you shouldn't have mocked people for wearing masks,” tweeted screenwriter Randi Mayem Singer. “Maybe you shouldn't have encouraged packed crowds. Maybe you shouldn't have told the CDC what to report. Maybe you don't deserve to be POTUS,” Singer also stated.

Mark Hamill, best known for portraying Luke Skywalker in “Star Wars,” also had something to say. He tweeted: “If anything positive can come him testing positive, it would be his followers reevaluating their opinions. If they will now accept a lockdown, social distancing & mandatory mask-wearing, we could crush the virus like we should have from the start.”

“He failed to protect the country,” also wrote Attorney George Conway, a frequent Trump critic. “He couldn't even protect himself,” then added.
