A woman was discovered on a sidewalk on Tuesday morning. She was found in Philadelphia Pennsylvania’s Strawberry Mansion neighborhood with a gunshot wound to her head

This discovery comes as the 85th homicide reported by police for 2022, which is 11% more than the same date last year, according to a report by FOX 29 Philadelphia.

On Tuesday morning, following multiple 911 reports about a shooting, officers responded to the scene.

Officers found the woman, 35, bleeding and unresponsive. They rushed her to the hospital, but she was pronounced dead by 4:31 a.m.

The victim did not have any identification on her, so she is currently listed as Jane Doe.

According to Chief Inspector Scott Small, the only items found at the scene include a set of car keys. There were no shell casings or ballistic evidence found near the woman.

Authorities believe at least five bullets have been discharged on the scene as several homes found along the street had bullet holes.
