Pompeo: ‘The Trump Administration Is Reversing The Obama Administration’s Opposition To Israeli Settlements In The West Bank’

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo made an announcement many conservatives have been eagerly waiting for.

The US government, under President Trump’s administration, is obliterating Obama’s anti-Semitic directive against Israel’s settlements in the West Bank.

“The Trump administration is reversing the Obama’s administration’s opposition to Israeli settlement in the West Bank,” were Pompeo’s exact words. “The establishment of Israeli settlements in the West Bank is not inconsistent with international law…

“Calling the establishment of civilian settlements inconsistent with international law has not advanced the cause of peace. The hard truth is that there will never be a judicial resolution to the conflict, and arguments about who is right and who is wrong as a matter of international law will not bring peace.”

Some believe this to be a bad move, thinking it will create a precedent for territorial disputes in other areas.

“Calling the establishment of civilian settlements inconsistent with international law has not advanced the cause of peace. The hard truth is that there will never be a judicial resolution to the conflict, and arguments about who is right and who is wrong as a matter of international law will not bring peace.”

But Pompeo pre-emptively answered anti-Semitic naysayers like Rep. Ilhan Omar by confirming this does not mean the US will be taking any stance on the legality of any specific settlements. Nor does the decision mean our government is assuming to prejudge the West Bank’s status in any Israeli-Palestinian peace agreement, should such an agreement ever actually happen.

Those who support Palestine – which, it should be remembered, includes Islamic terrorists responsible for attacks all over the world, including against Israeli citizens – claim the settlements undermine their hopes for a two-state solution.

But there’s strong evidence there are fewer Palestinians in favor of a two-state solution than there are opponents among their number. Contrast that to the majority of Israelis polling in support of a two-state solution.

So who’s really undermining the pipe-dream – Trump, or the Palestinians themselves?

Don’t forget it was Palestinian Authority negotiator Saeb Erekat who demanded the international community of diplomats “not engage in any kind of formal relationship or collaboration” with the US embassy unit in Jerusalem

Or, for that matter, that it was a Palestinian terrorist who cut down an American tourist in 2016, while the UN wasted time charging Israel with false human rights violations.

“This [conflict can] only [be] solved by negotiations between the Israeli and the Palestinians,” Pompeo emphasized.

Sadly, it’s obvious Palestine is as reluctant as ever to do any real negotiations. They prefer to use the common law of Islamic terror by using their children as human shields, promoting violence, and seeking to dominate the whole world by radicalizing every nation with their hateful pr
