Queen Elizabeth II is currently “under medical supervision” at Balmoral Castle, her estate in Scotland, as doctors are “concerned” for her health, as per a statement from the Buckingham Palace.

“Following further evaluation this morning, The Queen’s doctors are concerned for Her Majesty’s health and have recommended she remain under medical supervision,” Buckingham Palace’s statement reads.

“The Queen remains comfortable and at Balmoral,” it went on to say.

According to a report from Sky News, several senior royals are now making their way to the Scottish estate.

UK Prime Minister Liz Truss, who became the Queen’s 15th prime minister just this week, stated, “[t]he whole country will be deeply concerned by the news from Buckingham Palace” in a statement on social media.

Speaker of the House of Commons Sir Lindsay Hoyle stated from the chair that the Quee and her family were in “the thoughts and prayers of MPs.”

Apart from being the UK monarch, Queen Elizabeth II, 96, serves as the head of state in numerous Commonwealth nations such as Australia, Canada, and New Zealand. In the past few months, it has been reported that she has been suffering from “mobility issues,” so younger royals have started taking over most of her official duties.

As of 3 p.m. UK time, the British Broadcasting Corporation had cleared its broadcast schedule up until at least 6 p.m. amid Queen Elizabeth II's current health scare.
