Russian Opposition Leader Alexei Navalny Arrested During Protest: Why We Shouldn’t Care
The internationalist mainstream media, financed by a handful of globalist billionaires like George Soros, take great pleasure in hyping any opposition to Russian President Vladimir Putin, no matter how utterly insignificant it is.
Last Sunday, on the 28th of January, hundreds of Alexei Navalny supporters took to the streets of cities like Kazan, Chelyabinsk, St. Petersburg and Moscow. The rallies reportedly took place in dozens of cities, with many of them having been approved by the local authorities except for Moscow and St Petersburg. Hundreds of protesters defied the bitter cold as they chanted, “Putin is a thief!”
The same day, whilst en-route to the Moscow protest, opposition figurehead Alexei Navalny along with 15 others were detained by government forces.
Protests have sprung up because Alexei Navalny has been denied the chance to run for President because he’s currently serving a five year long suspended sentence after being convicted of embezzlement. Russian law prohibits individuals who have been convicted of such charges from holding public office. Alexei Navalny has urged his supporters, which if I might say, represent a miniscule percentage of the Russian population, to boycott the upcoming elections after he was prohibited from running.
This isn’t the first time Alexei Navalny has attempted to rile up the Russian population. Last year, he called for two demonstrations which also only attracted small numbers of protesters throughout the country. Regardless of the insignificance of these protests, like clock-work, a barrage of anti-Kremlin articles and video segments came hurling from the lying press just as they have in recent days.

What the mainstream media fails to report, and in all likelihood doesn’t want you to know about, is that Aleksei Navalny only appeals to a very narrow segment of prosperous Russian urbanites. Similarly to globalist, neo-liberal politicians in the West like Democrats Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, Navalny also has the younger generation on his side. That’s not saying much though, is it?
The simple truth is that overwhelmingly; the vast majority of Russians would like to see Putin remain in office, as they are quite happy and content with his leadership. Studies conducted year after year by reputable research organizations continue to confirm this fact.
In 2017, a study conducted by the Pew Research Center concluded that 87 percent of Russians have confidence in Putin’s ability to do the right thing on world affairs.
The incredible support for Vladimir Putin by the Russian people is substantially higher than the vast majority of other politicians on the global stage, making him one of the most popular leaders in the world.
The lying press can’t stand this because it tears apart their false narrative that Putin is a brutal despot who violently oppresses his people to no end. So, what do they do? Of course, what they’re best at–lie more to the public and strive to manipulate mass opinion through deception.
