Selena Gomez has recently debuted her new makeup line, Rare Beauty. One percent of all sales will go to mental health resources.

Gomez, who has been open about her own struggles with mental health in the past, plans to raise $100 million “to bring mental health services to underserved communities over the next 10 years,” reported Fox Business.

She says Rare Beauty focuses “on helping people feel more connected to one another and less alone in the world. The Rare Impact Fund will make a direct impact on many lives and, ultimately, make a difference in the world. I’m proud of the work we’ve begun to do with our partners to offer these services to anyone who needs support,” Gomez said in a statement.

According to The Cut, Gomez said her philosophy with makeup “probably changed” when she started having conversations with herself.

“I have talked very openly about my struggle with anxiety, depression, and mental health — it’s something I had to learn. On some level, I think everyone should find a way to learn that. With therapy, the time I’ve taken for myself has been reflected in everything I’ve been releasing,” she also mentioned, as reported by The Cut.

The Cut also mentioned that Rare Beauty is one of the beauty brands that directly talk about mental health. Gomez hopes the Rare Beauty community will “challenge beauty norms by shaping positive conversations about self-acceptance and mental health.”
