Starbucks Requires Customers to Wear Face Coverings Starting July 15th

Starbucks made it mandatory for customers to wear face masks in its coffee shops starting July 15th.

A statement by Starbucks says the policy applies to all company-owned café locations in the U.S.

“At select locations where a local government mandate is not in place, customers that may not be wearing a facial covering will have various options to order their Starbucks, including ordering at the drive-thru, curbside pickup through the Starbucks app or placing an order for delivery through Starbucks Delivers,” the statement said.

A spokesperson for the company also said Starbucks is prioritizing the health and safety of its employees and customers. As a result, Starbucks will be putting up signs that say that customers must wear a facial covering in stores.

“We continue to prioritize the health and well-being of our partners (employees) and customers and play a constructive role in supporting health and government officials as they work to mitigate the spread of COVID-19,” a Starbucks spokesperson then told Fox Business.

Starbucks then said they are “committed to playing a constructive role in supporting health,” in the company statement. They also aim to support “government officials as they work to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.”
