On Tuesday, Former President Donald Trump launched a new online communication platform. This aims to become a place for him “to speak freely and safely,” and it will eventually serve as his means to communicate with his supporters. This comes months following his ban from social media sites like Twitter and Facebook.

The platform called “From the Desk of Donald J. Trump” appears on his website.

The said space lets the former president post comments, photos and videos.

On Tuesday, the day of its launch, Trump posted a video to the platform. It says “In a time of silence and lies,” and then plays reports of his suspension on Twitter.

The video then continues by showing the new platform, calling it a “beacon of freedom” and describes it as a place to “speak freely and safely.”

The said platform seems to be run by Campaign Nucleus, which was created by Brad Parscale, Trump’s former campaign manager.

The said platform lets the former president post and lets his follower share the posts to Twitter and Facebook. However, the said space still doesn’t have the means to let users reply or comment directly to what Trump posts.

The webpage has a sign-up form where people can enter their contact details to receive alerts for when the former president posts.

The new platform rolled out on Tuesday. It came after advisers told Fox News that Trump plans on moving forward and creating a social media platform following his ban from several social media websites following the riot at the capitol.

According to senior advisor Jason Miller, the former president’s website serves as a great resource to find Trump’s latest insights and highlights. However, he clarified that it is “not a new social media platform.” Miller also revealed that they will have more information about this rolling out soon.
