Liberal Media Triggered Following Trump Description of Impeachment as ‘Lynching’

Following Democrats’ efforts to impeach him, President Trump accused them of “lynching.” According to his tweet, “So some day, if a Democrat becomes President and the Republicans win the House, even by a tiny margin, they can impeach the President, without due process or fairness or any legal rights. All Republicans must remember what they are witnessing here – a lynching. But we will WIN!”

As defined by BBC News, lynching “refers to historic extrajudicial executions by white mobs mainly against black people.”

According to CNN, the word “lynching” is a racially-charged term. To add to this, Rep. James Clyburn, D-S.C. said “I really believe this man is prone to inflammatory statements and that is one word no president ought to apply to himself. I've studied presidential history quite a bit and I don't know if we've ever seen anything quite like this.”

On the other hand, Hogan Gidley, White House spokesman, told reporters that Mr. Trump did not mean to be racially insensitive. “The president has used many words, all types of language, to talk about the way the media has treated him. The president wasn't trying to compare himself to the horrific history in this country at all,” says Gidley.
