Trump Slams Biden Over Scathing Speech Against MAGA Republicans
Former President Donald Trump slammed President Joe Biden following the latter’s address that attacked MAGA Republicans on Thursday night. The former president also raised concerns about his successor’s mental state.
Posting on Truth Social, Trump wrote, “If you look at the words and meaning of the awkward and angry Biden speech tonight, he threatened America, including with the possible use of military force. He must be insane, or suffering from late stage dementia!”
On Thursday, Biden delivered his “Soul of America” speech, condemning Trump and his supporters, calling them “extreme” MAGA Republicans.
Delivered right outside Independence Hall in Pennsylvania, the president said: “[T]here is no question that the Republican Party today is dominated, driven, and intimidated by Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans, and that is a threat to this country.”
He also claimed that:
“MAGA Republicans do not respect the constitution. They do not believe in the rule of law, they do not believe in the rule of law, they do not recognize the will of the people.
MAGA forces are determined to take this country backwards … Backwards to an America where there is no right to choose. No right to privacy. No right to contraception. No right to marry who you love.
They promote authoritarian leaders and they fan the flames of political violence that are a threat to our personal rights, to the pursuit of justice, to the rule of law, to the very soul of this country.”
Further reacting to Biden’s speech, Trump tried to remind him what MAGA stood for.
“Someone should explain to Joe Biden, slowly but passionately, that MAGA means, as powerfully as mere words can get, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” Trump wrote.
The former president also said that Biden should observe MAGA’s simple philosophy.
“If he doesn’t want to Make America Great Again, which through words, action, and thought, he doesn’t, then he certainly should not be representing the United States of America!” he wrote.
Conservatives Criticize Biden's Attack v.s. MAGA Republicans
Other than the former president, other conservatives also took to the media to slam Biden for his speech.
U.S. House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) said that the president had chosen “to divide, demean, and disparage his fellow Americans” just because they don’t support his policies.
Instead of trying to bring our country together to solve the MANY problems he has created, President Biden has chosen to divide, demean, and disparage his fellow Americans—simply because they disagree with his policies.
