Trump Unleashes on Sleepy Joe’s Order to Release Oil Reserves

Former President Donald Trump slammed the order made by President Joe Biden to release 50 million oil barrels from the country’s strategic reserve. This aims to bring energy costs down.

In a statement released on Tuesday, Trump said that “For decades our country’s very important Strategic Oil Reserves were low or virtually empty in that no President wanted to pay the price of filling them up.”

He added that his administration filled these reserves three years ago when prices were quite low. The reserves are meant to be used for grave emergencies, such as war, and nothing else. Trump added that he now understands that Biden will announce an “attack” on the reserves so that the current U.S. president “could get the close to record-setting high oil prices artificially lowered.”

Trump also noted that, a year ago, the country was energy independent. Now, he said the U.S. is at the mercy of OPEC. He noted that in some parts of California, gasoline sells for $7, while the rest of the country also sees a continuous rise in prices while the administration is taking oil from the reserves. He asked, “Is this any way to run a country?”
