A video recorded in Walnut Creek shows a group of looters in California’s Bay Area fighting over items that they stole from a retail store.

The video showed six people fighting over clothes. Fox News reported that another person “pushes past the group and grabs one of the discarded items on the sidewalk.”

They later disperse and get into separate cars after stuffing the clothes in the trunk.

This incident started with protests sparked by the death of George Floyd and other killings of black people.

Looters hit multiple stores in Walnut Creek on Sunday. However, Mayor Loella Haskew said the looting and the nationwide demonstrations had no connection.

“In an interview this hour, #WalnutCreek Mayor, Loella Haskew says there was no organized protest in her city yesterday and that looting was not connected to any demonstration. ‘It was pure and simple criminal behavior. It equaled essentially a riot,’” tweeted Allie Rasmus, KTVU news reporter.

Fox News also reported that the looting and rioting prompted city officials to issue a curfew effective from 6 p.m. to 5 a.m.
