Trump Beats Biden In Emerson College Poll For 2024 Elections
In a mock poll ahead of the 2024 elections, former President Donald Trump beat incumbent President Joe Biden. According to results from the latest national Emerson College Poll, Trump will edge Biden 47% to 46% if the 2024 Elections happened today.
The survey, undertaken from August 30 to September 1, 2021, covered 1,200 registered voters. It presented respondents with a series of hypothetical 2024 scenarios.

Trump Beat Biden in 2024 Elections Mock Survey
The new Emerson College poll puts Trump as the favorite ahead of the incumbent President. Biden is suffering from backlash from his botched evacuation from Afghanistan which left some troops dead from a suicide bomb attack.
The evacuation also failed to move all Americans from Afghanistan. As of today, there are still hundreds of Americans and green card holders stranded in Kabul and unable to leave.
In addition, job approval for Biden has split down the middle, with a slight edge for those who disapprove. 47% said they disapprove of how the President is performing his duties. Meanwhile, 46% say they approve.
The remaining 7 said they remain undecided about the President’s performance. During Emerson’s last survey earlier in February, Biden's approval rate was at 49% while disapproval was at 39%. 12% remained on the fence.
39% of Democrats Want A New Nominee
The Emerson College survey also asked Democrat voters who they prefer to see as the party’s presidential nominee. 60% went for Biden, while 39% said they prefer someone else. Meanwhile, Republicans overwhelmingly want Trump to remain the GOP’s standard-bearer, with 67% voting for him.
Among the seven other GOP candidates for consideration, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis secured the second spot with 10% of the votes. Former VP Mike Pence, Texas Senator Ted Cruz, and former South Carolina governor Nikki Haley were among the other GOP candidates.
When placed head-to-head in a hypothetical 2024 presidential race, Biden will win against all Republican challengers except Trump.
Midterm Elections Poll Results
For the 2022 midterms, 71% of Democrats and 69% of Republicans said they will very likely cast their vote. The actual turnout of voters can likely spell the difference on which party will hold the majority in both the House and the Senate. Currently, Democrats hold a razor-thin majority in the House and hold the tiebreaker in an evenly-split Senate.
In addition, the Emerson poll showed that 68% of Americans polled believed that the US lost the war in Afghanistan. In contrast, only 32% believed the US won.
When asked which president holds the most responsibility, almost half (49%) say it was former GOP President George W Bush, who started the way during his term.
Not surprisingly, Biden came second with 24% of the votes, while Barack Obama and Trump came in third and fourth with 18% and 10%.
Will Trump Run Again In 2024?
Since losing his 2020 reelection bid, Trump often dropped hints that he may attempt to reclaim the White House in the 2024 Elections. Last September 2, his campaign released a political ad focusing on Biden’s failures in Afghanistan.
Other GOP allies are also slyly mentioning that the former President will run again. A tweet from Undercurrent journalist Lauren Windsor said that Representative Jim Jordan (R-OH) tweeted last week that Trump would be announcing his campaign to run “any day now,” although both Jordan and a Trump spokesperson denied any forthcoming announcement.

Will you vote for Trump for president in the 2024 Elections? More importantly, do you think he has the best chance of winning back the White House compared to other GOP candidates?
