Each morning before school starts, 40-year-old DeAndra Warren, a school resource officer in Wynne, Arkansas, “gets out of his patrol car while still off-duty, stands at the base of the flag pole and bows his head in prayer for the students, teachers, custodians, cafeteria workers, his wife and three daughters, and the nation,” reported Fox News.

According to De’Andria, Warren’s 21-year-old daughter, she shared the image on her Facebook page to show that not all officers are the same – there are good people in the world, especially her father.

“It means a lot to me because his passion and love for the students is hard to explain,” she said. “His actions show it all. Every student is like another son or daughter to him because he treats them as his own child.”

The friendly officer would fist-bump and high-five students in the hallways. “He will go far and beyond to make sure any of the kids are happy and felt loved,” his daughter added. “He is truly an angel from heaven sent just to do God’s work!”

Fox News reported that Warren has been a seven-year member of the Wynne Police Department. According to THV11, Officer Warren has been a school resource officer for Wynne Public Schools for five of those years.

“I've been praying for the students ever since I started being a [sic] SRO,” Officer Warren said, “but I started last year standing at the flagpole. I don't do it to be seen but I do it to glorify my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To God be the Glory!”

Warren also attends Tabernacle of Faith New Testament Church where he is a minister and plays the drums.

“I feel led by the Spirit of God to pray for our students and all staff in our school district,” he said. He quoted a bible verse, “2 Chronicles 7:14 says: If my people, which are call by name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wick ways;  then will I hear from heaven, and will heal their land.”
