Nourishing the Balance of the Universe | On the one hand, who are we microscopic beings to think we can have any effect at all on something as vast and incomprehensible as the Universe-in which we are so minuscule as to be inconsequential, and maybe sloughed off the face of the earth as easily as a snake may shed its skin?

On the other hand, as aspects of the Infinite Ineffable Intelligence, our evolutionary destiny lies in recognizing our Oneness: understanding that there is no ‘other' and that as such, whatsoever we do to or for another we are only doing to or for our selves.
Then, in the same way, that all of Nature fulfills its function perfectly – predator and prey maintaining balance in their populations; bees and birds pollinating and propagating; fruits and flowers reproducing and nourishing; flood and drought and fire cycling through the seasons-so too mankind may fulfill its dharma.
And while one might argue that Dharma cannot help but be fulfilled, in this moment of history the impetus and need for greater harmony cannot be denied.
The undertaking is clear-there is no longer time for self-indulgence. Knowing that harmony cannot be imposed from without, but must manifest from within, it then falls to each one of us to light up her cell in the body of humanity by cultivating Consciousness and embodying Love.
All the striving toward sustainability and equality, however well-motivated or intentioned, cannot succeed so long as greed is the dominant force on the planet. And greed will not be overcome until the understanding of Oneness reaches critical mass.
This, then, is our charge: to understand and encourage the necessity of shedding the mistaken identities that have enabled the powers-that-be to divide and conquer; and to foster the realization that the suffering of any is the suffering of all, and to create a global movement and proclaim our Oneness around the world.
We can then nourish the Balance of the Universe by establishing Harmony on our planet-a harmony that only comes from the recognition that ‘We are One and there's Enough.'
