Biden’s Border Neglect Leads to Nebraska Sending Troops to Help Texas
On Saturday, GOP Gov. Pete Ricketts of Nebraska announced that he will send troops to the southern border in an effort to assist Texas while the Biden administration continues its neglect of the immigration crisis.
According to The Associated Press, Ricketts plans to deploy around two dozen personnel to Texas later this month. The said troopers will help patrol the southern border.
The Nebraska governor has previously slammed the approach by President Joe Biden regarding policies about border security, the crisis and other issues. However, Ricketts mentioned that the help he is sending is under a preexisting agreement.
According to the governors, the troops will stay there for up to 16 days to aid the Texas Department of Public Safety. However, he didn’t mention how they would fund the deployment.
Last Week, Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida announced that he has instructed his state’s law enforcement officers to help at the southern border in the states of both Texas and Arizona.
The border crisis has continued to become worse as the Biden administration seemingly turns a blind eye to it. As pointed out by They Daily WIre last week, former President Donald Trump planned to visit the border before Vice President Kamala Harris would.
However, Harris has since revealed that she would visit the border. To this, the former president claimed credit for the vice president’s move.
