After Trump Agrees to Visit Border, Kamala Announces Her Border Visit -ss-Featured

Vice President Kamala Harris plans to visit the southern border, a few days before the planned trip by former President Trump. Following weeks of evading the issue, Harris, whom Biden appointed as the point person for the border crisis, will visit the US-Mexico border on Friday.

According to Politico, after much criticism from Republicans, Harris will head to the southern border by the end of this week.

The report noted that Harris will make a stop in El Paso, Texas. She will be accompanied by Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.

However, neither a spokesperson for Harris nor a DHS spokesperson has made a comment regarding the matter.

Given the timing, many Americans are speculating on the vice president’s intentions. Many believe that she intends to mitigate the disastrous optics if former President Trump visits the area first.

Last week, Trump slammed Kamala Harris for failing to do her duty as the one assigned to handle the illegal immigration crisis at the border. He also announced that he has accepted an invitation to visit the southern border.
