Bill Clinton Asked to Talk About Girl Power

Vice President Kamala Harris said she will hold a joint discussion on “empowering women and girls” featuring former President Bill Clinton. However, many people found the involvement of the former President a little odd. Throughout his political career, Clinton received many accusations of sexual misconduct.

Discussion on Empowering Women and Girls

The Clinton Foundation announced that the discussion would take place on Friday. Besides Harris, other speakers include powerful female Democrats. They include Washington DC Mayor Muriel Bowser, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, her daughter Chelsea and Democrat activist Stacey Abrams.

The meeting is part of the 13th annual Clinton Global Initiative University meeting. In addition, Howard University, which is the venue, is the Vice President’s alma mater. The foundation describes the event as “A one-on-one conversation with President Clinton and Vice President Kamala Harris on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on women, and empowering women and girls in the U.S. and around the world.”

‘Is This a F—-g Joke?’

The Howard University-hosted talk raised questions about the choice of speakers. One Clinton accuser, Juanita Broaddrick, reacted on Twitter at the scheduled event. “Is this a f—–g joke?” This pervert …….. who raped me,” she tweeted. In another post, she asked if Howard University would like to include her in the talk. Then, she included a photo of her book cover reiterating her accusation of rape. The title of the book is “You'd Better Put Some Ice On That: How I Survived Being Raped by Bill Clinton,” and talks about her experience. Specifically, Broaddrick alleged that Clinton raped her in 1978 while he ran for governor of Arkansas. 

Meanwhile, Clinton denied the multiple accusations leveled against him. In fact, the only time he admitted to engaging in sexual activity was with Monica Lewinsky. Consequently, this affair with the White House led to Congress filing impeachment charges in 1998.

Bill Clinton’s History WIth Women

Over the years, Clinton found himself accused by many women of inappropriate sexual advances. He figured in a sexual harassment suit filed by Paula Jones. Also, two women, Kathleen Wiley and Leslie Milwee, separately accused the former President of sexually assaulting them. Including the accusation levied by Broaddick, Clinton denied all of these allegations.

In addition, Bill Clinton is a known associate of infamous billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. He allegedly joined Epstein on various trips aboard the notorious “Lolita Express” private jet, where Epstein offered underage girls for sex. Last year, pictures of Bill Clinton emerged with Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell and another woman aboard Epstein’s aircraft.

Others Join in the Criticism

Soon, other notable personalities joined in the fray. Former Trump campaign official Steve Cortes said the event made a poor choice as their speaker. “To 'empower women,' Kamala Harris and Howard Univ will promote a man that no sane father would want anywhere near his daughter, Bill Clinton,” he tweeted.

Then, conservative commentator Rita Panahi also tweeted a question regarding the upcoming discussion. “Is this a comedy sketch or are they seriously trying to present Bill Clinton as a champion of women?” she posted. Meanwhile, Northwestern University professor Dr. Steven W. Thrasher criticized the Democrats. “Even post-Trump, even during Cuomo, even decades after what he did with a White House intern looks very different well into the Me Too era, the Democrats are uncaring enough about the workplace conditions of women that they can’t quit Bill Clinton,” he posted.

Harris Turned A Blind Eye on Andrew Cuomo

Meanwhile, Vice President Harris didn’t escape scrutiny for the upcoming talk as well. Many people remember her swinging at one-time rival President Joe Biden as he faced accusations of sexual misconduct. Specifically, multiple women accused Mr. Biden of inappropriately touching them, including former aide Tara Reade. At the time, Harris said she believes that Reade “has a right” to tell her account. Eventually, she ended up as the running mate of Biden. 

In addition, Harris is also noticeably quiet about the sexual harassment accusations levied at New York Governor Andrew Cuomo. Critics say that while the Vice President champions herself as a feminist and defender of women’s rights, she remains silent whenever a party mate gets involved in sexual misconduct.
