Biden’s Border Crisis Continues as Patrol Arrests Over 110 Gang Members and Sex Crime Migrants
Border Patrol agents assigned in the Rio Grande Valley area have apprehended gang members and a migrant who has a child sex crime conviction crossing the border as part of different groups of migrants coming into the U.S.
Agents arrested a Salvadoran individual on Wednesday. The said person had also been arrested in Texas back in 2018 for indecency with a kid by sexual conduct and has since been a registered sex offender. The man was convicted of the crime but he was not deported. Instead, he received a five-year probation sentence.
Convicted sex offender uses false name in an attempt to hide his true identity.
Record checks revealed the male was arrested in Houston, TX, for indecency with a child by sexual contact.

A year following his arrest, the man was once again apprehended in Houston for stalking and child abuse. That time, he was deported. Additionally, the Salvadoran man has an outstanding warrant. Per the Customs and Border Protection, the group this man was traveling with had a 7-year-old girl who was with her mother
La Joya Border Patrol agents encountered a group of six illegal aliens trying to avoid them on Tuesday. During processing, authorities found out that one woman was a member of the 18th Street gang with multiple removals.
A day later, a Salvadoran person, who was a member of the MS-13 gang, was also apprehended in a group of three in McAllen. The said person has also been deported before.
Border Patrol agents have nabbed several sex offenders during the holiday period. According to the announcement made by officials this week, they managed to apprehend an Ecuadorian national who had multiple previous convictions, including aggravated sodomy, child molestation, and rape from Atlanta Georgia. The said person had managed to serve 12 years for the said convictions.

According to Chief Border Patrol Agent John Modlin of the Tucson Sector, his agents managed to arrest a Mexican national who is a registered sex offender previously convicted with aggravated criminal sexual abuse in the state of Illinois.
A total of 488 convicted sex offenders were among the migrants who came across the border in Fiscal Year 2021. This figure is up dramatically from 156 in FY2020 and 58 in FY2019. Up until this writing, in FY 2022, which started in October, 64 sex-related convicts had been found to be among migrants.
In terms of gang members, FY 2022 so far had seen 110 apprehensions. In FY2021, 348 gang members have been arrested among the migrants entering the country. This figure is slightly lower than the 363 that Border Patron encountered in FY2020 and significantly down from the 976 encountered in FY2019. The numbers may seem promising, but several Republicans fear that these gang members are managing to sneak past an overwhelmed Border Patrol.
