Brad Paisley’s Free Grocery Store Delivers Goods to the Elderly Following the Coronavirus Pandemic

Singer-songwriter Brad Paisley and his wife Kimberly Williams-Paisley own a free grocery store in Nashville called “The Store” – and it is now delivering free goods to the elderly. The Tennessean reported that “The Store volunteers plan to deliver a week of groceries to those applicable in the Edgehill and Barry Hill neighborhoods. Deliveries plan to happen on Wednesday and Thursday, per an Instagram post from Paisley.”

“In light of how times have changed, we have decided to change the way we do things a bit,” Paisley said in a video. “…We have a list of seniors that we’re basically dropping off what they need, following all protocols to make sure we’re doing this right.”

“Let’s get through this,” he added.

Speaking to The Tennessean about The Store last year, Paisley said: “This is a grocery store with dignity for people who have fallen on hard times. All of us are one unforeseen disaster away from rock bottom. It’s nice to think about a place where when that happens to someone, they can use it to get back on their feet.”

According to The Tennessean, The Store, launched in partnership with Belmont University to combat food insecurity in Nashville, acts as a volunteer-ran food pantry for community members in need.
