The coronavirus pandemic won’t stop these high school graduates from receiving a heartfelt surprise and experiencing the celebration they deserved, thanks to Chick-fil-A.

A Texas Chick-fil-A celebrated the high school graduation of five of its employees. Practicing social distancing, they had a commencement ceremony in the parking lot.

Fox News reported that the management at Chick-fil-A in Babcock Road, San Antonio “made lemons out of lemonade and surprised its 2020 grads with a small, outdoor ceremony on Friday.” The attendees wore masks and gloves during the event.

“While this may not be how you guys pictured graduation a few years ago, months ago, or even days ago, we wanted to make sure that you guys were celebrated in a way that we could all be here and celebrate you guys for the accomplishment you have made,” a team member said at the beginning of the convocation. “We know it took a lot of hard work and determination, so we did not want that to go uncelebrated.”

Each senior student walked down a red carpet and received a stole and gift basket. They then posed for a photo with the cow mascot who was in robes and a mortarboard.

“Today was a day we will remember forever! We surprised our seniors with a ceremony to honor their accomplishments! Congratulations to the Class of 2020! You made it! 🎓,” the location shared on Facebook.
