Conspiracy Corner: The Second Cold War

Welcome to our very first installment of Conspiracy Corner. In each edition, we plan to talk about something that sounds far-fetched, but in the end might just be the truth.

So call me crazy, but the more news I see about Russia, the more I can’t shake the feeling that they are actively preparing for the second Cold War.

Think about it. Everything they do is to topple the United States as world leaders. They actively work to shake appearances and challenge our foreign policy decisions, while doing far worse themselves.

Just to get this out of the way, while I will name some of the things Russia has been doing, there is no way that I will be able to name all the ways that they have moved and conspired against us. I could write an article on each one of the examples alone.

For starters, they are founding members of BRIC (Brazil, Russia, India, and China) whose sole goal is to replace the American Dollar and undermine the U.S. economy.

Russia this week came out and blamed the United States for defending ISIS, even though their own actions in the region have complicated and arguably slowed down the actual fighting of ISIS by factions in the region.

The Russian Foreign Ministry issued this statement, “We are reaching a really terrifying conclusion for the whole world: that the White House is defending the Islamic State. Now there can be no doubts about that.”

Statements like this are aimed at both the American people, trying to sow dissent and influence the upcoming election as well as the leaders of foreign countries who they want to throw us out or otherwise resist us. In my mind, this is a declaration of War.

It’s not hard to figure out why. Russia is meddling in the Middle East where we draw the majority of our oil from. Russia is now the number one oil producer in the world. The more they destabilize the region the more money they can draw in with the added bonus of destabilizing our economy.

If Obama was a stronger president he would call Putin out for this, but as we all know, he won’t.

Putin “won” his election (make no mistakes thinking it was fair) so handily that he has decided to bring back the KGB. We all know them from history and no one can be excited about that. Putin himself rose to power as a member of the KGB, skills he clearly still uses today.

The KGB were perhaps the one thing the Soviet Union did well during the first Cold War and under Putin they should not be underestimated.

There is also the business of hacks that Russia has used to influence our elections. It is no secret that our cyber security is not good enough, but Russia and China have both been spying and stealing from us for years and we are just now getting wise to it.

I don’t care how much you hate Hillary Clinton, Russia is not doing us any favors by trying to influence our elections. In my eyes, they are the real enemy number one.

Plus, what’s a cold war without the whole Soviet Union? Russia has slowly started reabsorbing the members of their old state that have broken away. Georgia and part of the Ukraine quickly fell and were forced to rejoin Russia.

All of this has been done in the name of uniting their people … Germany in World War 2 used the very same tactic to start their conflict with Europe.

Ukraine was attacked right after it had applied to be a member of NATO and the EU. Hardly a coincidence. Yet, both America and Europe stood by and did nothing. After all, what should we have done? Putin knows he can move slowly and get away with a great many things.

Russia is preparing for a global conflict with us, but it won’t be fought with boots on the ground, at least not until it’s too late. They know they can weaken our resolve, destroy our trust around the globe, and steal and sabotage our economy.

It’s a war they are winning that we didn’t even know we were fighting.

Well anyway, that’s my conspiracy for the week. Let me know what glaring holes you find in it or if you strongly agree. I promise I’ll get to lizard people, chem-trails, and the hollow earth as soon as I can.
