Coronavirus Vaccine News: Moderna Shows 94.5% Success
In the latest coronavirus vaccines news, Moderna Inc reported that its vaccine is 94.5% effective. The report got its date from their ongoing clinical trials. Moderna is the second vaccine in the United States to report excellent success rates. The company shared its results in a call Sunday afternoon. Among those present were members of the Data Safety and Monitoring Board.

Dr. Fauci believes vaccinations can start by mid-December. Therefore, high-risk groups and front liners will take priority. Meanwhile, the rest of the populace will start receiving shots by spring next year.
‘Absolutely Amazing’
Dr. Tal Zacks, Moderna's chief medical officer, was ecstatic with the results. “It was one of the greatest moments of my life and my career. It is absolutely amazing to be able to develop this vaccine and see the ability to prevent symptomatic disease with such high efficacy,” he said.
Stéphane Bancel, Moderna CEO, talked to journalists Monday. “Given the importance of severe disease that sometimes leads to hospitalization,” she said. “Those hospitalizations that sometimes lead to ICU, and in the worst-case outcome, death, is a very important impact that we see in our vaccine,” she added.
Easier handling
Moderna said that unlike Pfizer’s vaccine, their version does not need very cold storage. As such, the latter’s vaccine requires storage at -94 degrees Fahrenheit. Consequently, this requirement poses a problem for vaccine storage. This means any solution will need rapid deployment and distribution all over the globe.
Even better, the vaccine appeared to work the same among different groups. The phase 3 trial included around 30,000 participants all over the United States. This included those over 65, those with high-risk conditions, and people of color.
Coronavirus Vaccine Progress
A week earlier, Pfizer and BioNTech announced success for their candidate vaccine. Their vaccine achieved 90% effectiveness rates in preventing coronavirus. The two companies said in a joint statement that results exceeded estimates of 60-75%. Patients that took two doses reported 90 percent fewer symptoms.

Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla, chairman and chief executive, said it was “a great day for science and humanity.” Additionally, he said: “We are reaching this critical milestone in our vaccine development program at a time when the world needs it most with infection rates setting new records, hospitals nearing over-capacity, and economies struggling to reopen.”
Coronavirus Vaccine Trials
In Moderna's trial, 15,000 study participants received a placebo. Another 15,000 got the Moderna vaccine. Over several months, 90 persons within the placebo group developed Covid-19. 11 developed more severe symptoms. Meanwhile, for the group given the vaccine, only five developed Covid-19. Consequently, none of the five became severely ill.
Moderna reported that the vaccine did not present any serious side effects. Specifically, a small percentage of participants reported symptoms such as body aches and headaches.
Emergency Use Authorization
Same with Pfizer, Moderna will apply for emergency use authorization. They will do so after completing its safety report later this month. By December, it aims for 20 million doses available for the US. Additionally, Moderna expects 500 million to 1 billion doses available globally next year.
There won’t be enough vaccines for everyone during the first month. Instead, high priority groups and frontline workers will get the first doses. Dr. Fauci believes everybody will get their vaccines by mid-2021. “I think that everybody else will start to get vaccinated towards the end of April,” he said. “And that will go into May, June, July. It will take a couple of months to do.”

No, it is going to take more time than that because some people aren’t taking the virus serious. People don’t trust the injection that they say is whatever % effect. I know that I will not have it. It needs more trial and error.
Great news! Praise The lord for assisting these companies for bring forth this much needed solution to this dire problem. Hopefully this will be a wake up call for people of this world. This will still take some time. Yes but we can finally see a light at the end of the tunnel. This is wonderful cause of age and underlying medical problems. My wife also is management in high risk position in hospital with underlying medical problem the is very high risk.

For decades we have been told and told and told that to be “SAFE”, we had to test, test, test over a 4-10 year period to make REALLY sure a vaccine was safe. Now, all of a sudden in complete contradiction of that, we find that “hey, in this one case….” Not only that, but several years ago they passed a law protecting Big Pharma from lawsuits that might arise from a vaccine that causes death or injury. That one made me stop and take notice. What does the Government know that I don’t about what’s coming in the future as far as vaccines are concerned???
Why do folks answer yes to the above poll? Because everyone including myself WANT it to be true that they can suddenly, after years of failure with other Coronaviruses, that suddenly the medical industry has figured it out. Really?

YES – Vaccines do work and I think think it should be given to the most vulnerable first. Most of them will die if they get the virus and if this is 95% effective – it could save many lives that otherwise would be lost. What do you have to lose??? I would take it as long as it does NOT have a microchip in it! That is my greatest concern!!!! Do not take the vacine iin the head or hand!!!!! This could be the Mark of the Beast which the Bible refers to!!!

I take covid as serious as the regular flu. Work on your immune system & pass on the vaccines.
