The White House on Tuesday said that other than a “dead on arrival” peace plan, Trump didn't do “anything constructive” to end the ongoing turmoil in the Middle East.

While defending the Biden administration's approach to the situation between Israel and Palestine, Jen Psaki said that a “two-state solution” is the only answer to create “lasting” peace.
Psaki added that the Biden administration is “not following the same tactics of the previous administration.”
“Aside from putting forward a peace proposal that was dead on arrival, we don't think they did anything constructive, really, to bring an end to the long-standing conflict in the Middle East,” Psaki said. “So obviously, we're dealing with a conflict that is happening, as we speak. It is happening on the ground. People's lives are lost. There's ongoing violence, we're going to work to resolve that.”
Mike Pence and plenty of other Americans would beg to differ.
“We witnessed four years of progress toward peace, now shattered by more than a week of unprovoked violence against the people of Israel,” Pence said Tuesday.
He added that the Trump-Pence administration's “commitment to Israel was unrivaled,” while the Biden administration's “failures” in the region have encouraged violence by Hamas.
“We made that clear to the world through our actions,” Pence said, referring to the many peace deals in the Middle East. “But from the moment President Biden took office, all that changed, and the results have reignited violence.”
Saying Trump did nothing constructive to create peace in the Middle East is simply inaccurate.
Indeed, Trump went above and beyond to help restore peace in the region. He secured two historic Middle East peace deals The Abraham Accords with Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates which established full diplomatic relations between the countries and Israel. And, he landed a Middle East peace agreement with Sudan.
“The Trump-pence administration set the table for lasting peace and an end to the decades-old conflict in the region,” Pence said. “President Biden has replaced strength with weakness, moral clarity with confusion, and loyalty with betrayal.”
