Customers can now book In-person appointments with Apple. The company will allow customers to schedule visit times with its Apple Store “Shop with a Specialist” option.

Shoppers will be able to browse stores with available one-on-one time slots offered in 15-minute increments. As always, Apple requires them to wear masks and have their temperatures checked.

Apple's Reopening

Apple started to slowly open stores last month. However, recent spikes in coronavirus cases forced at least 77 stores to close again.

“Due to a resurgence in COVID-19 infections across many U.S. states, Apple announced on July 1 that it has re-closed or is soon closing a total of 77 stores, just weeks after they were reopened,” said an Apple Insider report.

The report added that since mid-June, “cases of COVID-19 have been on the rise across in more than 20 states. That has prompted some local governments to reverse their original reopening plans and Apple to re-shutter some of the locations that it had reopened since the global health crisis.”

Nonetheless, the company outperformed expectations of analysts when it reported earnings for its third quarter, reported Fox Business. Apple clocked in earnings per share of $2.18 compared with $2.10 estimated by Refinitiv.

“This was our biggest June quarter ever — driven by all-time record revenue from Services, accelerating growth from Wearables, strong performance from iPad and Mac and significant improvement in iPhone trends,” said Apple CEO Tim Cook.

“These results are promising across all our geographic segments, and we’re confident about what’s ahead. The balance of calendar 2019 will be an exciting period, with major launches on all of our platforms, new services and several new products,” Cook added.
