Democratic National Convention Day 3 Wrap-up

Democratic National Convention

Day 3 of the Democratic National Convention is done and what a day for Democrats it was. They pulled out every major speaker they could to jam the night full and ride the hype well into Hillary's speech tomorrow night. Will it be enough? All I can think of is something about is lipstick on a pig.

Biden attacks Donald Trump

While Vice President Joe Biden gave a light endorsement of Hillary Clinton, he mostly stuck to the campaigns talking points of attacking the Republican candidate, Donald Trump.“No major party nominee in the history of this nation has ever known less or been less prepared to deal with our national security,” the vice president said. “We cannot elect a man who exploits our fears .. who has no plan whatsoever to make us safe.”

It seems like he has his candidates mixed up. It isn't Donald Trump who is truly ignorant. It is Hillary Clinton who is the least prepared and quite possibly the worst candidate this nation has ever put forward for president.

“Everybody knows she’s smart, everybody knows she’s tough, but I know what she’s passionate about. I know Hillary!” Mr. Biden said.

I don't know that she is smart or tough, I know she is crooked and as far as I can tell only passionate about herself.

Bloomberg Sells Out

Michael Bloomberg took center stage as the Democrat's resident billionaire, although I doubt he is as rich as the Clintons. He continues on the train of attacking Donald Trump.

“The richest thing about Donald Trump is his hypocrisy,” Mr. Bloomberg said, “Trump is a risky, radical and reckless choice. And we can't afford to make that choice.”

“There are times when I disagree with Hillary. But whatever our disagreements may be, I've come here to say: We must put them aside for the good of our country.”

“Tonight as an independent, I am asking you to join with me — not out of party loyalty, but out of love of country,”

Bloomberg is a giant hypocrite who has clearly sold out for a position in Hillary's cabinet.

Meet Hillary's VP

Let me start by apologizing for Tim Kaine's speech, not because of it's contents or because I have done anything wrong, but only because he is such a bad speaker that I feel an overwhelming need to apologize to you our loyal audience.

With that out of the way, Tim Kaine took center stage to introduce himself to the Democratic voters who would be trying to send him to the White House. I am confident that no one knew who he was before last weekend.

“For all of us who know the brightest future for our country is the one we build together, and for my friend Hillary Clinton, I humbly accept my party's nomination to be vice president of the United States,' said Kaine.

It is also worth noting that Tim Kaine speaks Spanish and take absolutely any opportunity to show off his single skill.

It is worth noting that he has a son that serves in the Marines and for that I have respect for his family. I would never attack a serviceman. With that being said, Tim Kaine is a running mate who has been sought out for being painfully normal and boring to help shore up Hillary's weaknesses. Unfortunately for Democrats, no running mate is that strong.

“I got a first-hand look at a system, a dictatorship, where a few people at the top had all the power and everyone else got left out,” he said about his time in Honduras.

Funny how he is running with a woman who has literally killed to be where she is. I guess if he has seen it so up close and personal he can be an asset to her rule.

Obama Gives (Hopefully) His Final Speach As President

If you don't want to see Obama go over all his many (sarcasm) accomplishments since he took office in 2008,  then you are in luck, he went all the way back to 2004 where he cited his DNC speech he gave. I supposed to a president like Obama, just giving a speech to a crowd is a triumph.

“I was so young that first time in Boston. Maybe a little nervous addressing such a big crowd. But I was filled with faith; faith in America,” he says. “A lot's happened over the years.”

He once again ( the theme of the night) locked onto Donald Trump and attacked him loaded for bear. “What we heard was a deeply pessimistic vision of a country where we turn against each other, and turn away from the rest of the world,” he said. “There were no serious solutions to pressing problems – just the fanning of resentment, and blame, and anger, and hate.”

He speaks about Hillary's tenacity and her inability to lose, just ask Bernie Sanders. “We battled for a year and a half,” he said. “Let me tell you, it was tough, because Hillary’s tough. I was worn out. She was doing everything I was doing, but just like Ginger Rogers it was backwards and in heels. Every time I thought I might have that race won, Hillary just came back stronger.”

I'll save you what else he said, but know that he talked for a very long time in which he listed every single “accomplishment” that he can take credit for from the past 12 years. Listening to Obama, you'd think he was the reason the sun rises every morning.

There was one silver lining from the night and that is that hopefully this is the last major public speech by Obama that we will have to suffer through

Wrap-up

In the end, Day 3 was the Democrat's biggest night so far. It was filled with a lot of hot air and shameless lies.

Join us tomorrow when we give you a recap of the final day of the DNC and will have Hillary's speech blow by blow. I have no doubt it will be very entertaining.
