Disney Springs Begins to Open Some Third-Party Shops; Comes with Warning

Entertainment complex Disney Springs begins to allow some third-party shops and restaurants to open. With this, it prepares for safety protocols such as “a new team focused on engaging with park-goers and promote social distancing guidelines in common areas and queues,” as reported by Fox Business.

With some third-party shops opening, the company has posted warnings. Those say “an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present.”

“COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, senior citizens and guests with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable,” the warning said. “By visiting Disney Springs you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.”

AJC reported that all workers and visitors older than 2 must wear face masks at Disney Springs. They will also take the temperatures of workers and visitors. Also, anyone with a temperature over 100.4 degrees can't enter the premises.

Disney Springs also plans to increase cleaning procedures and implement hand sanitizing and handwashing stations.

“Other areas of Walt Disney World Resort remain closed, including theme parks and Disney Resort hotels. Upon reopening, theme parks, Disney Resort Hotels, restaurants and other offerings may be modified, limited in capacity and subject to availability or closure,” the company said on its website.
